When I heard about this, the first thing that popped into my mind though was the Village Hidden in Sound from Naruto. When jeebus when will I get my own civilian use sonic cannon? Chances are not in my life time. However, this isn’t the first time it’s been used, just the first time it’s been used on Americans.

It was used in 2005 during an attack on a cruise liner by Somali pirates, and apparently it’s used in Iraq against insurgents. Nice to know that it works on the very people you’re sworn to protect though
